I am from Xbox one, Brushes,
And shoes
I am from the Ville, small, clean air,
And pretty women
I am from the big pine trees, tall and majestic,
And fresh, the sandbox, small, dirty and fun
I am from the sweet and soft yams and the
Gooey and soft mac & cheese
I am from the thanksgiving and march madness,

What do you see when you look at me?
What do you see when you look at me
Do you see a minority, do you see a thief, do you see a thug
Or do you see what I see
An educated young black male trying to make it in this life he was given
I know when some people see me there scared no because I’m scary
Because they don’t understand
Just one day, one day that is all I ask for
Everyone will see each other as equals
A not separated by color, ethnicity, and belief
When you see me I don’t want you to just to see another black boy
I want you to see me for who I really am
A smart African American young man on his way to success
Someone who’s going to be something
See me as me

Ice Cream – Food Piece
I in the back seat wait anxiously on the ride to Baskin Robbins. Mm I can taste the
Sweet and salty sensation of the snickers ice cream. When we get there I jump out of the car and
Run inside faster than a gazelle, my parents behind me telling me to slow down. I got even more
Excited when it was my turn to order. I say politely, double scoop of snickers please. I watch her
Drop the yummy scoops in the bowls like an eagle. After everyone orders we leave with our ice
Cream. In the car am so happy, can’t wait till we got home. We finally made it home we got out
The car and set up at the kitchen table. And for the rest of the nigh we talked laughed and had fun
Together as a family. The next morning I woke up I thought, I love ice cream. Ice cream is what
Brings me good memories. Memories of my family being together as one, happy no fussing, no
Fighting, just laughter and love. Just thinking about the time we spend as a family keeps me
Warm inside. I value that because my family doesn’t spend much time together now.

First Day
The first day of school, what can I say? Tensions are very high on that first day. Everybody is just so worried, when they walk in them big double door. Thinking will they remember me, do they still know my name, and how do I look? When they should be worried about what they’re going to do differently this year. I know I was nerves first day. New school, new people, and new teachers that’s enough to make a guy like me have a heart attack. And don’t let me get started on all the pretty girls I saw, all I could do was check my smells and look normal and my poor little heart lord know that was beating at 1000000 mph. But I was okay I knew I would make it to the end of the day all I had to do was play it cool and stay to myself which I had tried until I seen her. She was so rare and radiant. The most beautiful girl I ever seen. I think im wrong she was no girl she was a women. So so pretty, I’m not going to lie I think I drooled. She said hey I was nerves I said good bye. But thank god for the bell I was saved. I went to the overly crowed bus and went home. All in all don’t be nerves over first day just be good and have a great one.

My Name
My name is Reginald Renard Bell. I like my name, it may sound a little goofy at some time but I like it. The reason why I like my name is because of the meaning behind it. My first name Reginald, it means powerful ruler. My middle name Renard means sly fox. My last name bell, yea I know right everybody know what that mean ding-a-ling, ding-a-ling. But hey that was the name I was blessed with. I thank my dad for allowing me to carry on the legacy of his name. I would never change my name if had the chance to, because I’m thankful for it. I would love my name to live on forever. I will give it to my son if I’m blessed with one and hopefully he would give it to his and on and on and on. Long live my name Reginald Renard Bell.
